Amanda Sharp

I am the sole owner and operator of On Point Pet Sitting. I grew up around a variety of pets including cats, dogs, and horses. When I moved in Alberta in 2009, I adopted my first dog (Bailey) and have been a pet owner every since of both cats and dogs. 

 

After pursuing a career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), it did not take me long to realize that I would much rather care for animals over humans. So I quit and began working at a Veterinary clinic in 2021 where I learned even more about pet care, particularly how important their quality of life is and how to advocate for them.

In 2024, I made the huge leap to leave the clinic and started On Point Pet Sitting. Being someone with a law enforcement background, I understand the importance of finding a trust worthy and reliable person to care for your pet, especially in your own home. I wanted to ensure that my community had at least one pet sitter they could rely on.
